I just wondered if anyone else would like to think about holidaying with other single mums and children.
It not someting I have ever done before but think it could be lovely.

It sounds like a lovely idea.
I recently took my 4 DC to Haven using the Sun newpaper offer. It would of been nice to have other single Mums to chat to in the evenings when DC were on the dance floor.

Netmums members organised a massive single parent holiday - was meant to go down quite well apparently.

I think it would be a good idea; especially all meeting somewhere like Butlins so there is stuff to do alone if you didn't get on / wanted a day off etc

i'm in. change of walls and company of similar would do wonders, i reckon!

I think it could be great

Good timing, have been thinking about holidays with other single mums (or indeed dads) after reading this article. All the companies listed seem to be booked up until next spring, or only operate in Lancashire, though.

God that sounds sich a brilliant idea! i would love to do something like that!!

lou33 · 28/11/2007 23:25

yes i do, but i need a break from the kids really

dingdong05 · 30/11/2007 00:34

Hey, put me n the list!
I thought about going for one of the park offers in the newspapers, but with my ds being only 3 I can't help feeling that it would just be a way for me to do what I do at home but with the hassle of travelling and expense! But with other folk now, that may be fun

Hi,
I've just spotted this site (ok, I know, I was never quick off the mark) but this topic is really close to my heart as I've just started a holiday club for us (often neglected) single parents. I got fed up of paying huge supplements then sitting alone like a turkey whilst the kids were playing

Anyway, I've posted a thread about this, I'd love your feedback on the site and trips. If anyone's got any ideas on more trips or would be interested in coordinating local meets please email me on the site.

Thanks!
haidee (chrissie but the name is taken!) x
