I was v emotional. She practically didn't let go of him - kept grabbing him for another cuddle. Sat as close as she could to him. Read her school book to him etc. Asked if he'd come to see her in the school play, if he was staying over etc and when she went to bed she said "see you tomorrow" and then stopped herself and said "no, see you sometime"

God it was hard.

MoH

Do you think it was the right thing to do though? Sounds like she did need to see him. How was he?

Carmenere · 21/11/2007 12:35

Oh God, you poor thing It will get better with time.

He was fabulous. We both said that she would see him in the pub from time to time and he assured her he still loved her etc he said he would come round and see her again if she wanted him to.

Not sure it was the right thing to do she wanted him this morning but I feltl ike she understood that she would see him about and that we were just friends now.

He stayed for about an hour after she went to bed and we chatted about nothingness really. We had a hug when he left and I burst in to tears (I'm a knob) had been choking them back watching the two of them together. He told me he wanted to kiss me and we talked briefly about why it hadn't worked out. He said he better go unless I didn't want him to but I told him he should go.

MOH I hope your ex is going to be reliable and have a proper relationship with her rather than come and go in her life, its more hurtful to have a fligh by night father than no father at all, I hope it all works out for her and can imagine how emotional it was

MascaraOHara · 21/11/2007 16:23

I probably should clarify my ex is not my dd's father so he has no obligation to see her.

dior it doesn't feel seedy to be honest and he has been making a big effort actually. esp. when we're together. He came over last Wednesday, Sunday and is coming over tonight. Today he brushed a loose hair off my bum in the office and pulled a face that I didn't sit next to him in a meeting. I think I have to go with kid gloves to some degree.. he was very lovely on Sunday night and Monday morning I put my arm around him and he pulled it further up round his chest and sort of cuddled it iywim. still not sure it's going anywhere though

Dior -

Oh, MOH, come on Dior does have a point. Are you together again or not? You're single, he's single what really is the problem? Work will get used to it.

Not going to say too much 'cus I sense you might get ratty

MascaraOHara · 22/11/2007 09:36

lol lol at balaclavas - probably lol.

Won't get ratty Raf, you are very welcome to speak your mind.

xp text me last night to see how dd was in the morning.. I replied and then I just got one that said 'and u?' meaning and how are you.. bless him. For all his faults he did love me to bits (he must be mad).

Office man being strangely well behaved at the moment. He also got a bit humpy with me when I said ex was coming round.. think he might have got a little jealous.

I have people coming round this afternoon to kill my mice (something to look forward too) lol

Feeling a bit ropey at the moment and I think that's brining me down a bit. Got in last night at 6:30 me and dd kicked our shoes off in living room and went straight to bed - I didn't even go into the kitchen or anything lol. Have a terrible headache and ringing in my ears.
