Last yr ex insisted it was only fair that he have dd over for xmas eve this year. He played that one on me as he knows i am about the most 'fair' person he knows.

I agreed, and thoguht yes, nob that he is and has been I am sure by next year this will have settled down.

We as i have psoted before its got worse but I wasn't looking forward to speaking about xmas. Dd refused to go with him two weeks back, and I was thinking, shite does he still think its going to be great at xmas.

Lng story short, i said that I had spoken to dd and she def wanted to have xmas with me,

he agreed, very quietly, but I am so pleased.

I am pleased for you. I can't imagine what xmas day would be like without dd.. I'd be gutted. I am so pleased she wants to spend it with you. Besides you are her main carer you shouldn't be robbed of the special times

That must be such a relief for you pg, but sad that even your dd doesn't want to be with him. (Sounds familiar, my dd loves her father but still says we do Christmas MUCH better than he does, so she only goes to him for NY.)

pirategirl · 21/11/2007 17:05

yes, the way he has treated her, his turn or not, he doesnt deserve that specail time, the most special time.

Just as equally she doesn't 'deserve' to be forced to have a crappy xmas morning with bugger all gifts, with a wanker dad, and have to be there with his gf's 2 kids, who he shows more love to also.

arse arse arse.

my money, my xmas stocking, my morning. for this year anyhow.

Yay! Great for you and for your DD.

Sounds like she'll have a MUCH better time with you. My ex hasn't a girlfriend, just him and his aged mother - and neither of them do Christmas well - no decorations, just one pressie (ex MIL always gets it wrong) - awful food. And we have so much fun at ours, LOADS of decs, big twinkly tree, piles of pressies even if they don't cost a huge amount and such laughs. I guess mums do tinsel best .
