I've come away for the weekend with the dc, ages 7 and 9, and I'm going slightly potty! At home they generally occupy themselves on screens and in the garden etc, whereas here (in a static caravan) we're in close proximity and it's relentless noise and questions!
I'm finding myself a lot more snappy than usual and little things are really getting to me. They don't go to bed until 9ish, and then I go not long after. So I feel I'm getting very little downtime which won't be helping. And I can't potter around doing jobs which I would normally do at home. It's a beautiful location but I'm ready to go home!
Right now I can hear ds outside humming...
and for context, he's autistic so is really struggling to occupy himself without a screen...
I know I'm lucky to be able to afford to go away but please tell me I'm not alone in finding this a trial?!
