Is anyone else realllllly struggling this week? I've always found half term hard (yes, of course I adore my child but she's extremely hard work at times), but this one - ☠️

I'm desperate for some adult conversation, please come and tell me I'm not alone??

Sorry to hear you have struggled how old is your dd. I know when mine were younger it was a challenge. They are older now and much easier to take places and do things. After lock down we have been out everyday.

6! Honestly I nearly called my mum and begged her to take her. Just cannot cope with her at the moment

During in lock down I set new routine. We got out each day. Did school work jobs etc. Ate tea together then everyone went to their own rooms so I got some peace and quiet.

My youngest is terrible at bedtime and sleeping in general. So that hour or so gave me much need space.

At six She can keep herself busy for short periods of time. Just do what you need to get through the day. It is relentless when it is just you.

Thanks. Sounds like you've got it all sussed!

I should've mentioned that she's autistic. She's also an only child, so she craves my CONSTANT attention 😫

Send her to your mum for a few hours. Look after yourself. It's important. Hope you have a good weekend.

Screens. Sod what anyone else thinks.

Single parent to two autistic children. Had to keep them apart. Screens helped. And send her to your mum for a bit.

Yep mine has autism too! I didn't mention it as I didn't want to sound like I'm implying that I'm only struggling due to her autism. I realise all lone parents struggle mentally to some degree (bar a few exceptions of course)
