My sons dad doesn't have alot of contact with him at all. My little boy is only 2 and since meeting his current girlfriend he has only saw him twice in 2 months. We only live 10 mins down the road. Anyway she is now pregnant and she has 2 kids. In their announcement they did one of this gender reveal things and she wrote 4 becomes 5 meaning her, him, her 2 children and their one on the way. She wrote it but he also shared her post on social media and didn't write anything regarding his son . Am I being unreasonable to think how dare he not include my son in this and act like he doesnt exist in their family or would you say I'm overreacting?

Maybe they thought you would be fuming and disgusted if they included your son so they thought best not to.

Happycat1212 · 10/05/2021 18:41

Hmm I wouldn’t expect her to include your child tbh especially if he’s father barely sees him, if she did you would be annoyed she’s including him when they barely see him

ConfusedAdultFemale · 10/05/2021 18:43

I understand why you’re angry. Nothing worse than feeling like your child’s been dropped in favour of the new family, even worse when the child grows up and realises their father doesn’t give a shit about them.

Breastfeedingworries · 10/05/2021 18:44

Yeah but he doesn’t see him? Although that in itself is disgusting, she could possibly face the same fate if they break up. He’s a c*nt for not being a decent father to his first. I don’t understand that these woman who have children could be with a man who doesn’t see his own.

I wouldn’t have any expectations op, because it will lead to you feeling hurt. just be happy for your own little family unit. Make sure you’re getting what you deserve financially.

Nicsworld · 10/05/2021 19:17

I wouldn't expect her to automatically include him but you would think he would say if your kids who aren't mine are included in our family unit then my kid should be if you know what I mean. But then that's just me everyone is different I suppose. He said he is taking him out this weekend( doubt it) so was just wondering whether to bring it up or not if he does but don't think I will bother.

Thanks breastfeedingworries and confused adulterated for your nice comments. He is a ar*e but he will be the one who suffers when my son grows up and realises.

I think you have to view this as useful information. It hurts, but his sharing her announcement lets you know that 1) he isn't planningvon bringing your son in to his new family and 2) he's very comfortable with his first child being publicly overlooked.

That is really hurtful but digest this truth so that you are not pushing water up hill for years 💐

Spied · 10/05/2021 19:26

It speaks volumes about how much they value your ds. At best she forgot about him.
At worst she's deliberately left him out of the family count.

Happycat1212 · 10/05/2021 20:22

I wouldn’t, how did you see it out of interest? If he doesn’t see your soon maybe you should delete him off social media

Nicsworld · 10/05/2021 20:27

I'm not on his social media but he still has some of my family members on its so naturally they mention things to me.

I had the opposite with DD's 'D'F. When his girlfriend got pregnant it was all emojis of a family of four, photos on social media etc. When they split my DD was dropped like a hot brick. She hasn't seen him in over a year, nor her half sister and is heartbroken over the latter.
Bastards.

Nicsworld · 10/05/2021 20:29

And he does see him as I've said. Barely but does.

pollylocketpickedapocket · 10/05/2021 20:30

At least you know where you stand. Do not try to encourage a relationship, do not let him erode your sons self esteem. He’s shit, leave him behind.

Nicsworld · 10/05/2021 20:30

@getyourfreak on, thats horrible for your DD. You wonder how these fathers sleep at night.

Happycat1212 · 10/05/2021 20:42

Wow I’m surprised your family would still be friends with someone who doesn’t even bother to see his own kid

Nicsworld · 11/05/2021 16:08

Me too

It was a thoughtless and insensitive thing to write. Plenty of other things they could have said instead.

Do your family know he barely bothers with DS?
