Childcare costs?!

I have 2 sons (1 and 2) and me and my partner (not their dad) have been talking about possibly getting our own place together over the next year. If I move in with my partner and my 2 sons (1 and 2) will they no longer qualify for free childcare? And will I no longer receive help towards their childcare costs if he earns over a certain amount? Or do I still qualify as a single parent because he’s not their dad? I’m just worried because if that’s the case all of my income I get from work will be spent on nursery fees 😓

Stay living alone. It sounds a relatively new relationship, you have lots on your plate, and benefits will be affected by him moving in.

It’s household income so it will effect whatever you’re receiving right now.

household income, so yes you would be paying it no your own as your income is looked as 1

honestly it seems a new relationship, with young kids, wait a few years!

Yes it would be affected because you'd live together. Doesn't matter if he isn't their dad it's done on income. Don't rush things yet.
