Don't be too down-hearted. Not everyone on THAT thread is judgemental - there are some excellent posts there as well from people who are not "black and white" in their view.

And theres plenty of people who are not in our situation on that thread defending single parents, not just those who have been there and know what its like. That cheered me up.
