My DDs father and I have been separated for 6 years and he has been with his partner ever since. We all get on, not best friends obviously but we are very civil. They have just found out they are expecting their 1st child together, they are telling my Dd at the weekend. I'm very happy for them and I know my Dd will be excited initially (she is 8yo). I am just concerned that once she comes home, there may be some questions or concerns. Over the last few months she has mentioned that she would love for her Dad and I to get married, i have explained that we are friends and we both love her but we get on much better as friends. She seems to accept it. I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions or are able to share their experiences if they have been through anything similar?
