I've been unwell for about 6 weeks and really unwell for 3. For the last 3 weeks my kids (9 and 11) have been staying with their day (10 miles away). They've come back for visits but this afternoon they've come back for the night and possibly longer.
Although I'm feeling a lot better (it was a horrible gastric viral infection) I still feel quite unsteady.
Having them here is making me feel quite anxious. I think I've just got used to coping with being ill on my own and now having them here I've got to look after 2 little people and I'm finding it stressful.
I know I'm capable of doing it and I'm surprised by how anxious it's making me having them here!
Although I certainly don't want to be with my ex sometimes it would just be so much easier to have someone else here!
