Drug testing

Hi when the family courts order drug and alcohol testing how does it work please? How far back can they tell if someone had taken drugs or drank lots?

Also; I have the occasional drink myself, like one bottle of beer or glass of wine. Will this go against me?

They often take hair samples over a 3 month period that can tell if you've been using drugs for upto 6 month beforehand
