Does anyone know how many nights a month a Dad has to have their child to be on band A in the CMS? I know it says up to 103 nights a year but I was wondering what that equates to per month (in case I've worked it out wrong!). Thanks x

Well 2 nights a week is 104 nights a year so you're looking at approx. 8 nights a month for the 'band' you want to put a claim in for. I've never know CMS bands until Googled following this post but the 2 nights a week would push it to band B. Is there a reason you're looking for the minimal contact time/highest payment band? How many nights does the child/ren stay with their dad currently?

103 / 12 months = 8.5 nights month
103 / 52 weeks = 1.9 nights a week
104 / 52 weeks = 2 nights a week

@BingeOnChocolate Thank you! That's what I worked it out as too. It's actually my DC's Dad who has put in a claim with the CMS, not me! (They live with me)

Yeah you've worked it out correctly! He is clearly motivated by the money he has to pay by the sounds of things if he wants minimum amount. Good luck with it all
