Birthday weekend (mine!). Don't think I can.

So, I'm turning 50 next week (I know...I don't look a day over 21!).
I never planned a big party or anything, but did want to something fun with my different groups of friends.
Nothing has really been planned what with the rona, and that's ok, we can do something later on.
But one friend has done loads of research into a weekend away. Sounds lovely, BUT it's 2 nights away and I'd need childcare for my son.
With things so uncertain and possibly getting more restrictive, I don't feel at all comfortable asking any of my usual support people to have DS2. Tbh, it's not just Covid, it's that I rarely ask friends to have ds when I'm away for fun stuff, it's usually when I'm away for work or maybe dropping adult DS1 somewhere.

I'm doing something with some other friends next week, it's during the week so DS2 will (hopefully!) be at school (it's already been closed due to Covid) and he'll be home alone for a few hours in the afternoon. I am completely fine with that.

WWYD?

Can't your adult DS look after him?

He has left home.

Can't he come home for a couple of nights? Or your DS go and stay with him?
