My husband has a 4 year old son from a previous relationship, as when she started to control him ie he wasn't allowed out to see his friends or go to the pub or got questioned if he was late home from work etc...he left her (his son was 1 yrs old at this point) and she would only allow him to see his son then in a contact centre, as she had made out he was an unfit father and that he needed to be supervised, which is ridiculous, if i have ever seen anyone with tonnes of love for there kid it's my husband! she also refused to allow him to pay child maintenance through the csa, so she could get more moeny from him than he should be paying, and he paid it monthly so he could see his son, who he wasn't beeing allowed to see on his terms or as much as he should be....they have tried to stop him from seeing his son if i am there which is silly i think and now he has stopped paying his maintenance as he has been threatened with death as have i and my family for no reason, and they will not accept the money from any other means ie cheque....where does he stand we can't afford a solicitor, and there is no reaoniong with them....please helpp it's killing him he hasn't seen his son now for about a year now, and i know it hurts him so bad

Does your DH work? If he doesn't or your income is low he may be entitled to legal aid. Regardless of income most solicitors offer a free first half hour, so it might be worth doing that to get some advice. Also contact your local CAB (citizens advice). They are a really useful resource and are free.
