What do you truly think?

Of a father who you see all over Instagram posing in photos with his new partner and her children and suddenly seemed to stop seeing his own kids ?. Do you secretly think anything of it? Or am I just judgemental?. This goes for women too if it was the other way around.

I wouldn't 'secretly' think - I'd be on his case reminding him of his duties to his own kids too. He can post as much as he likes as long as he still fulfills his parental responsibilities, which are emotional not just economical.

@Pipandmum your right. I say secretly because if it were me I'd be saying the exact same to them as you. But what I don't get it all the people who still like and comment on those photos knowing they don't do anything for their own kids or see them anymore. But I probably read to much into these things and am a bit bitter when I see this kind of thing due to personal experience of my dad doing this to me when I was younger

Not everybody knows what's going on though. They might think he's just made the decision not to post them on social media anymore not that he no longer sees them. A lot of people do seem to excuse absentee parenting in dads though, and yet guilt trip single mums for dating, going out, spending money on themselves, going on holiday with their friends or even having a busy career. As though if they are not at home either chained to the kitchen sink or tending to their children's needs they are negligent parents. It is a massive double standard.
