piratey - sorry to hear youre not going out. dont go thinking he's making excuses, he could live round the corner and still have last minute plans sprung on him that he cant get out of. just treat it as you would anything else - a pain in the arse - and then plan when you can next get together. and hoping you get on well

Oh poo!! I know the feeling if its any consolation. Its hard to give the benefit of the doubt, one side of you is wary and the otherside just wants to be wanted, balancing the two is challenging to say the least.
