How hard is living on your own with a newborn?

I have a 10 day old baby I am a single parent and currently live with my mum but I'm 28 and really feel like I need to move out again me and my mum don't get on at best of times and the house is quite depressing I can't explain why it just is its always very quiet, I told her this morning that after lock down I'll be moving out she obviously doesn't want us to leave as it will be leaving her on her own and she started listing all the things she does for me like sterilising bottles and letting my dog out for a wee but I feel like she just does them before I do them and if she didn't it wouldn't be that hard, can anyone tell me if living on your own with a newborn is really hard and lonely or does it feel good that you're doing it on your own xxx

It was just me and dd1 for nearly 3 years until dp moved in.
We did live with my ex for a couple of months but we weren’t together then and he worked nights (and was as much use as a chocolate fire guard)

The time we spent living with him was by far the hardest. I found is so much easier being a lone parent rather than being constantly disappointed by someone not stepping up. In my little house I knew that if anything needed doing then it had to be me to do it and although that was hard and lonely and exhausting, it was better than the alternative.

It doesn’t sound like a pleasant situation that you’re in at the moment and eventually your dd will pick up on that. Move out and regain your independence, like others said, get your routine sorted and make your life for you and dd. It won’t be easy or picture perfect but you’ll look back and be so bloody proud of what you achieved on your own Flowers
