None of my mates have children (and so sometimes don't really "get" the situation that I'm in,I have a child,I cannot go out on a Tuesday night for example, doh!)
So,if there's any of you in the same boat as me and who'd like to meet up for a good natter sometimes, just get in touch:-)

Ooh did someone mention a South London meet?!

I joined the local mn group but don't know how to access it!

National Childbirth Trust is an organisation that run antenatal and postnatal groups. Basically if you have a young baby it's a really good way of meeting new people. They have a local rep with a contact list, they organise coffee mornings and low-key events. There will be several groups in your area.

I met many people through these groups. It's a big step at first but everyone's in the same boat with new babies etc.

chocabloc · 02/09/2007 21:15

no probs turq may check it myself

The National Childbirth Trust, though great, is not an organisation for lone parents. Joining NCT is a great idea

BUT

you will probably just meet mothers who have husbands and partners (as well as children).

I would be interested in a meet up for lone parents/mothers.

I am in Highgate/Barnet/Muswell Hill area. I have a three and a half year old son. I'm VERY keen to find more people for him to play with... (while I swig booze or coffee with other parents).

Cheers

Laura

Tetti

I don't have the CAT thingy. How old are your child/children? Where are you based? I'm in Harringay, other side of the railway from Crouch End... My son is three and a half.

Cheers

Laura

Tetti don't let that put you off NCT. They're not all two parent families by any means.
