Baby soon to start overnight stays with her father

Morning!
I’m after some positive success stories please. My daughter is 9 months old and starting from 10 months, me and my ex will be implementing overnight stays with him. He has her 11-5 Saturday and Sunday one week then 11-5 Sunday the other as he works alternate Saturdays. She is clingy to me and always cries when he picks her up but once I’ve disappeared and he’s distracted her she’s usually fine!
She is not the best sleeper though, has never slept through with me and I know she will be the same for him, but he’s happy to accept that his sleep will be broken.
I have no doubt in his ability to care for her, I’m just so nervous and I don’t think I will be able to relax the first few times. Once the overnights start we are aiming to do fri- sun every other weekend. But will obviously start with her just staying one night initially.
I keep being told ‘oh my goodness I wouldn’t be happy with that’ ‘overnights are bad for babies with the non resident parent’ And it’s beating me down and making me feel like I am doing something wrong by agreeing to this, but he does deserve the time with her and I suppose the way I see it is she will always be used to this routine as we started fairly early. Can anyone give me some success stories from their own experience as a bit of a boost? :)

I think it’s fine, my ex is absent so doesn’t see my children at all, enjoy they break! I see no issues with what your doing and don’t think it’s too early.

My youngest was 10 months when he started eow stays with his brothers at their dads (divorce) he is now 4.5 years old. They love staying over, its had no impact on their well being, quite the opposite infact and we found the key to success is consistency with bedtime routines across both homes. Overnight access with a responsible caring father should actively be encouraged imo, they all have a wobble at handover, its how you handle that wobble. You seem to both be approaching overnight stays sensibly, and long may it continue.

My ex has been having the baby overnight since 6 months old every Friday and we have just swapped to every other weekend for two nights. She seems pretty happy and is a well rounded little girl who will go to anyone. (She's now 10 months old) I find sometimes the night on the day she comes back she's a little more clingy than usual and I have to stay with her to get her off to sleep but I think that's to be expected as she hasn't seen me for a day.
