Child Support Irish father

Hi there, I was just looking to gain some information about child support, my partner and I are in Scotland and the father lives in Southern Ireland. I'm not familiar with this but apparently he doesn't have to pay any kind of child support or maintenance? Is that correct? Does anyone have any experience of this?

Under Irish law, both parents are legally required to provide financially for their children, so yes he will have to pay child support. you need to seek legal advice from a solicitor x
