Social services query

Someone...no prizes for guessing who, has reported me to Social Services. They have written me a lovely letter saying they're not interested in taking it any further etc etc but to ring for an assessment if I feel I need some support. Does anyone know what sort of thing is available?

a health visitor may be able to give you some support.

I'm not sure what's been said other than that I'm a risk to DD but I rang them the other day and they said they're happy that the report was malicious and the help available is a family welfare officer who is really there to help out if I had no family or support around. As I am living with my parents at the moment I'm considered as having enough support so there's nothing else available, which is fair enough but I'm glad I checked.

Do you know who is targeting you? is it because of an arguement with them?. If this is an problem it maybe worth taking things further on that score.

Yes, it's my ex-husband who's reported me. I have a restraining order in place and he's not allowed to contact me directly or in-directly. The details have been sent from Social Services to my solicitor so she knows whats happened. I've said I don't want to read the letter he sent them or the statements he's made to the courts as I just can't take anymore. He goes back to court in a few weeks so I'm just hoping it'll be an end to it all.

that was probably a wise decision that you havent read them, what a nasty and bitter move

It will be hard, but just let it go over your head by the sounds of it everyone around you and Social Services obviously feel you are doing a great job so just ignore his nasty actions!
