That's is all. I am in tears.
I have never had to deal with such an incompetent service in all my life.

Don't fucking patronise me by saying "obviously". No it's not obvious and no you didn't do what you said, and I've chased you up many times and no one ever calls me back.

Involve your mp. This will get them moving. Complain to whoever you need too.

They are next to useless. The time everything takes is a joke. I just keep on at them because I want ex to know I'm not going to let it go. If I get some money it will be a bonus.

My arrears are currently over £6k. So I suggested they might like to take some steps to get some money so now we are going to court. I'm not holding my breath

Although they are inept I'm angry at ex. Why or who doesn't want the best for their children. Is beyond me.

Try your mp although be warned they may not be able to help until after the election

Make complaints and then complain about them not dealing with complaints.

I feel your frustration. I got told off for shouting at them. I think I lost the plot at that point.

Starlight456 This is a complaint! I was told in Aug that my Dissatisfaction case was closed and had been escalated to a Complaint.

It turns out the Complaint was only in their system last week.
When asked why it took so long he said I don't know the answer to that. When I asked who would know the answer, he didn't know that either.

When I asked to speak to someone more senior I got told it was the 'system'. And then they cut me off. This was after 40 mins of call (about 37 mins of hold and 3 mins conversation). I am fortunate that I can put my phone on speaker when on hold and carry on working (I work alone) but there must be tens of thousands of (mainly) women who just give up.

unicornsarereal72 & Racmactac We have no local MPs at the moment! Well, not one that I can email. I didn't shout. I did get shirty and then I just cried.

They have admitted their incompetence.

Get the name of the person you are speaking to, send a letter highlighting the points you raised on the phone and copy it to your mp (after the election). Keep pushing. I know it's frustrating as hell but don't give up.

I've been there and I'm now going to a tribunal! Such a shocking organisation that is not functioning to any standards!

And they're dealing with people who are likely having issues with ex partners, many from abusive relationships, who just don't need this additional stress.

I'm doing it for my son and to show ex he can't just choose not to support his kids.

Thanks for your words of solidarity (though obv horrid so many others experience the same) and advice.

My ex had a bill of over 21k he kept leaving his job everytime they found him applied to take it from his wages he left he did this until my son turned 16 sand started a paid apprenticeship and once that happened they closed the case as I was no longer entitled to it it's crap sometimes

My mum had issues and phoned every single day. They went collected it out of his wages. He's just changed jobs after a few months of this and they tracked him down, contacted the person that does his wages and gave them a hard time, the person that did his wages was a family member and was mortified he wasn't paying, and set up a new collect and pay. She had to hassle them daily though which obviously she shouldn't have to do.
When DP was 21 his mum got a call from CMS saying DPs dad owed her £1000 and it would be taken from his wages, DP owed his dad £900 at the time so his mum wrote off the CMS debt in leue of DPs debt.
I've never known such a strange service. It seems very unorganised.
On the other hand my step mum's ex owes her £96000 which will never ever be paid as he uses off shore banking.

I've just called again to ask why I haven't been called back.

Apparently I can raise a Dissatisfaction against their Complaints procedure. If I wasn't crying I'd be laughing.

So, I'll wait another 2 weeks for them not to call and then repeat.
Then when I've got an MP I'll write to them.

This thread doesn’t fill me with much hope at all, I’m relatively early on in my claim, my ex stopped paying for our then 2 year old almost a year ago, I didn’t start my claim until June, the enforcement process started in about October. Bit of info on the ex’s money situation, he earns a fair wage, but is self employed, all money gets paid into his account but he doesn’t pay tax, so they didn’t get any info from HMRC, he laughed in my face when he got the letters from CMS. He gets paid Friday Evening and it’s gone by Monday (He likes to party), so how will they take money from his bank like they said they could ?!
