Not with DS father sees him every week. DP has been around for 3 years and doesn't live with us but wants too in future. He works long days and only stays a few nights a week..and is away 2 weekends a month so isn't around a lot.
Our relationship has had ups n downs lately but I've noticed he doesn't really ever suggest to do anything with us it's always me suggesting it.

He has his own dc and sees them often. And we all do stuff togther
Do your partners have spend a lot of time with you and your dc ?

As long as he dont want to get involved he dont have to. Forced relationships will never work.
I have been with my BF 2+ years and only very lately become involved with days out with both of them. I dont think I have to become someones parent only because I am dating their dad/mum.
