Ex partner took me to court re access earlier this year. Whilst we were there I requested that I (and our 3 children) wanted my surname added to theirs.
We had two boys together, unmarried gave them his surname as I foolishly thought we were going to be together forever. During pregnancy number 3 he left me for another woman, moved in with her the lot. Wanting to do right by the children I still gave our 3rd his surname. We did get back together for a while so was pleased I made the decision I made.

When I was pregnant with our 3rd I went to travel with the boys, I was stopped at passport control (ferry to Ireland) and questioned about the children being mine- this is going back 9 years ago now and things are so much stricter now. It was horrendous- fortunately his parents were dropping us off at the terminal so they were able to co oberate our story.
So court order issued, noted in the order is that he has consented to my name being added to the children’s ( he had a barrister representing him) and no issues findings raised.
I asked for him to sign the docs so I could get them witnessed by a solicitor and sent off and return d in time for the new academic year. At which point he refused to sign them and said he needed to check the “legal ramifications” with his solicitor. I waited 3 weeks to see if he would return the forms or mention something about it- nothing.
I have sent the forms off along with a court order that evidences his consent. The forms were sent back off on 10/09/19 cheque was cashed/ cleared on 17/09/19.
Are the name changes going through/ when will I get the deed polls back. I used the govt forms and did it direct, I didn’t go through an agency.
