This is purely hypothetical but does anyone think that re-dating an ex can work?

i think it can...

i used to fantasise about this when me and exp split but i wouldnt go back now.,

but i know people who have and it has worked

think you have both got to have learnt from the split and learnt about what split you, and weather you can move on from this especially if there has been a betrayal?

how long has the split been?

have you children becsue if you have you need to be careful of there feelings especially if it doenst work out in the end, it will be very confusing

best of luck

it was a hypothetical question, honestly. I am back in contact with an ex - not DD's Father, but just as friends and that's all it's ever going to be. I just wondered if it could work out or if it's best to move on.

it all depends of why did you split in the first place....

snowwonder · 09/08/2007 22:30

well you wont know till you try if that is what you both want

what is the saying.....

if you love someone let them go if it is truely love then they will come back to you..... (something like that)

i seriously know people who have done this , one had children , got divorced... remarried then got back together..

We split up years ago when I had a pregnancy scare...not looking good on the responsibility front really! I think it's more that he's come back into my life than me actually wanting him back and it's really not an option, I just wondered if it had worked for anyone else. I'm still waiting for my knight in shining armour to come along

well if i was you then ill give it a go....youve got nothing to lose!....am i right?

I think sometimes it can work... But if the problem was changing and drifting apart, then the odds of you changing back or somewhere down the line changing into what the other person wants is pretty darn slim...

And if there are unresolved issues, of course...

This is a subject very close to my heart as xh and I did this, more than once, but it didn't work. Largely because he continued to do what he always did He wants us to try again now but my head screams NO! NO! NO!
