Feeling very down for no reason

Other than my life is a total mess Most of the time I'm fine but then I get these patches where I just feel like crying. I feel like I have to put on a 'coping' front when I'm out and about but then when DD's in bed and I'm all on my lonesome I feel like the world's got it in for me. Feeling very sorry for myself but better for writing it down

I've been signed up to it for a while not been posting regularly until recently. I feel like I should be able to cope better but it really is hard.

I think being alone with children is one of the hardest things you can do.
Have you friends or family you could spend the evening with or who could come to you?

I agree with moondog. MN does help to distract you from RL things for a bit and they can seem less

Hi just wanted to say you're not alone - I'm newly single and although I'm quite happy, almost euphoric, during the day at night once the dcs are in bed I feel low.

I've been doing practical stuff like sortin out buills/going through paperwork which deistracs me but it is hard.

Thanks for the messages. I live with my parents at the moment Moondog but feel just as lonely as if I were by myself as they are both working full time, come home in the evening, watch tv and go to bed. I'm not blaming them at all, but I think I'll feel less lonely when I live by myself next year. I will definitely keep coming onto MN though, it's good to know I'm not alone

Evenings can be very lonely, but I agree with moondog about coming on MN when you are feeling a bit low. I often come on in the evenings, and it really does cheer you up & make you feel less alone.
