Child maintenance 18yo

Should the maintenance payments last until September or stop as soon as the teen finishes school before a level exams? Private arrangement- not sure if this makes a difference!

I'm pretty sure child maintenance through Child Maintenance Service finishes on August 31st after they finish full time education so I'd imagine a private agreement should do the same.

If they stop paying earlier, technically the resident parent could apply for maintenance from CMS anyway up until that date.
