Hi

I’m supposed to be going away on Wednesday to Dubai with a 8month old, four year old and 8 year old for 8 days

I booked this when I was feeling better recently I’ve been finding it really hard coping alone with them. I’m worried I’ll go and regretting going I’ve never gone away alone with one of them let alone three but then I’m worried of not going and regretting it

I’m worried with all the picture perfect 2 parent family’s are going be everywhere and I do find it really hard to see

Any advice or thoughts on this would be great as I’m at such a loss at what to do

Thanks

My friends live in dubai, its really family focused. My firneds travels a lot alone with two. Are you flying Emirates? They are really helpful on the flight. Bring lots of stuff to distract the kids as the flights long.
Dubai has lovely pools and great places for family like aquariums etc.
Have you got a sling for bbay? Might make water parks etc easier.
Does the hotel have a kids club or babysitting service as this might help for older ones? Some hotel ones are a bit dodgy but loads are good.
Have fun

Ok, so I only have one but.......I was dreading flying solo to Australia with mine, and it went fine.

Take loads of snacks for the flight, and some new small toys (look up something called 'KeepEm Quiet' packs) Bribery will help you.

Try to task the 8 year old with responsibility so they understand they have an important role helping the younger ones with airports etc. Promise them a reward when you get home if they are a useful ally.

Don't forget, if it all gets too hard, there is TV in the hotel room!!
