I need help my kids normally go to there dads every other weekend but theres been some issues the 3 main ones are i had to pick my kids up due to there dad shouting in front of them with his girlfriend on another occasion his girlfriend attacked him throwing beer bottles and glasses which lead to the police being called beer ending up over my kids so i stopped the girlfriend having anything to do with the kids and on the last occasion he left two 9 year olds and a 6 year old at home alone whilst he went to a shop closest shops to him are a 10 min drive and the house they were left in has swords all over the walls under the bed when i found out i got angry and demanded he brings the kids home now i have to decide if i should let them go back to there dads or not part of me dont want to stop the kids seeing there dad but part of me dont trust him to look after them im stuck in the middle i just want whats best for the kids please help me i dont want no judgement just peoples opinions on what they would do in this situation

In my opinion if I was in tourney position I would stop the contact he hasn’t prioritised the children in the circumstance of a argument with his former partner where he could have removed the children and himself from the situation. He also didn’t on the second occasion where there was violence. If he has left 3 minors in a house alone with items that pose risk to them it’s a major NO NO he has shown he has made decisions that don’t suit his best interests I think you should stop the contact and speak to a solicitor first 30 mins free. If he applies for a court application I’m certain any judge would agree too. Aslong as you have evidence to substantiate. Hope all goes well.
