Going for first solicitor appointment this morning

I'm actually looking forward to it
ex is being a pain again re: access, wanting them more than I'm happy with. He hasn't paid me regularly since I left in March and is just trying it on as the CSA are involved now. I'm also worried he'll try to take them off me one day, he's sneaky enough.

Well off for my shower then I need to get a bus and taxi to the office. I have to go out of town as ex is a solicitor. I'm just hoping this one doesn't know him?

good luck at the solicitors today, just let them know that your ex isnt happy with whatever you are offering and you feel that he will start causing trouble if he dont get his own way, and that you have been more than amicable with access and agreeing to 3 days per week

Thanks all, it went really well. She's very professional and I have total faith in her She said I don't need to worry about the kids as I'm the primary carer and if he did take me to court they'd look at every angle, ie I'm not working, looked after them since birth etc...
Plus I think I'm worrying over nothing. At the end of the day we both have the boys interests at heart and he knows I'm a good mum.
Anyway, she said not to get married until the money is sorted but as I'm not after a huge payout I'm hoping he won't drag his heels over this. With a bit of luck he'll just take me for adultery which would be easier.

Hope yours goes well Lou, I'll be away then so will have to catch up with you when I get back.

I'm going to Texas with my bf who's from there. I'll get to meet his family and friends. His mates are throwing a party for us.....complete with a cake of boobs for him and one of a dick for me It's in his local bar and some friends are in a band and will be performing, probably country music.........yee ha!!!

23rd July, well actually the 22nd as have to stay over near heathrow then meet him morning of 23rd. We're going camping on his gran's land, totally remote

Yes I remember reading something about him, didn't he go there to work?
Ikwym, it's like being between a rock and a hard place. My bf is sacrificing a great deal to be with me and I can only hope it all works out. He won't have a job when he comes to live here but hopefully will find one quickly. I'm just going to go with the flow and see what happens. We're both so used to being on our own so will have to give each other space.

Yes you're right lou, I couldn't move to Texas anyway as my ex wouldn't let me take the boys and they have such a fantastic relationship with him it'd be cruel. Bf's boys haven't seen him for a year so he must have a different relationship with them? I know my ex wouldn't take a job that'd take him away from the boys for a year. I don't judge bf on this though as we're all different. I just know ex and I wouldn't move to another country without the boys.

for you lou, any chance in the future? Must be awful when you fall in love with a country and culture and can't live there.

yes but he's married lol. Well don't know if he's as nice, haven't met him yet. Bf is the black sheep of the family apparently
