question about cma

Okay, so I'm about four and a half months pregnant.
The father of the baby wants nothing to do with me or the baby (which is fair, his choice, etc).
My question is about CMA.
Obviously he won't be named on the birth certificate as we were never married. From what I've researched, he won't be named unless he puts it on there himself...?
So my question is, will he still have to pay CMA if he's not on the birth certificate?
I've been unemployed until recently, so was on Universal Credit. I'm hoping I will receive MA after giving birth (which lasts for what, nine months?)
After MA, I want to go back to work part time (if plausible), but does that mean I will still receive universal credit? Will I be able to get child tax credit? If he does end up paying child support, will I still be able to receive universal credit?
I'm so confused.

If you apply to cms yes you will get maintenance . However he may dispute paternity . He would have to pay costs if baby is his .

No he won’t be on bc but if he doesn’t want to be involved this is far better for you.

You can’t get tax credits once you are on UC but it should still help you .

Try giving Gingerbread, the single parents charity, a call. They are terrific at helping you sort out finances as well as advocating on behalf of single parents. They also have a tonne of solid advice on a whole range of other topics that may be pertinent to you.

Best of luck and hope all goes well. I had my DD solo and have loved every minute since
