Cross application submission in family court

Does anyone know if you have to put in a cross application (form C100) for child arrangements in the family court if you're son's father is already taking you to court for the same thing? I'm being told conflicting things.

What would you be 'applying for '? Am assuming he is applying for child arrangements (contact). He is the applicant. You are the respondent. His application is sent to you via the court and you go to court and 'respond' (answer ) his application with your reasons why you believe he can't have the contact he is requesting. A judge decides what is best for your child (if anything) and that is written in to the order.

You don't issue anything or fill in forms. You just turn up and speak.

Well that's good to hear. Getting loads of conflicting advice. He submitted the forms and o responded with c1a but since been told I should have submitted my own form too
