Hey everyone.
I've been raising my son alone for the last year, it's been tough. He has autism so that just adds on to many other problems momma is having right now. His dad never helps no matter how much I beg or plead he won't budge & also complains about me putting him on child support.
Anyways I've become homeless now & none of my family is willing to help, no job, lost my home and all the valuables plus my car. I have no finances to get it up and running right now so its sitting.
I'm one day away from being on the streets, his dad now all of the sudden is running to try to be daddy of the year. I'm very skeptical about this because he may try to get custody of him and that would be my worst nightmare. I've worked so hard to keep my baby boy on schedule, keeping up with therapy, home care, appointments anything and everything to make him comfy living his little life. Now I'm just a few months from being awarded SSI benefits and I'm thinking that might be his dads motive. I'm going to be getting back pay. Hes really on supervised visits but I have no place so I gave in to allowing him to stay with him. If he tries to take my baby without returning him do I have any rights to say in the custodial parent even though I'm homeless at the moment ?
