Today I realised my dd (7) has a better social life than me. 
Since going back to school she has received 4 party invites that all happen within 2 weeks of each other.
No-one prepared me that becoming a parent meant that I would
- spend a lot of time at kids parties
And
- have to pretend to like other parents
