I am a lone parent to 4 (ex completely absent) I would
love to take my children on holiday one day (we have never been away) but is it even possible with so many (ages 7,6,4 and 20 months) Its not is it?! Just sounds crazy after typing their ages, When I say holiday I mean abroad, has anyone done it? with 2+ children (sorry but I imagine one wouldnt be that hard) how was it? and no no one can come with us .

you can do it! you could go somewhere like this, link where there is a kids club, as well as a pool, play park and splash park which means that you have something to do with the kids, or you can have some alone time with your youngest. The older 2 will entertain themselves on the plane if you give them an electronic device with some movies downloaded, and the 4 year old will most likely watch as well.

all the best x

I was on holiday a mum (Lp) was there with 4 children . She only did 4 days to see how it goes. Kids clubs are invaluable.

I would also add swimming lessons are the best investment as a Lp for holidays

If it hasn't got to be abroad, and you feel worried about coping, try the sun holidays, collect vouchers , this week in the sun, try booking one out of main season for weekend maybe, £9.50 each, mostly self catering but, im sure you will manage. these holidays usually come with entertainment, swimming pools indoor usually also, trial run.
years ago I got in touch with Help endure fore lone parents HELP for short, they help arrange breaks for single parents, not sure if they still around but look on internet. also haven usually do lone parent discount rates. just look for lone parent holidays in uk, if you thinking of abroad, try club mac in alcudia, children orientated holidays centre.
Best wishes.
