I joined this morning on a whim, and there seems to be very little out there in terms of online groups for dads, so I hope you don’t mind me joining.

My ex wife through me out around 2.5 years after coming back from a girly weekend away, turned out she’d met someone who lives in a different country.

We were married for 9 years and had 3 beautiful children. My eldest came to live with me full time from that point, 9 months after, she left the country tolive with this new fella, leaving all my kids with me.

She saw her kids for maybe 12 days in 2018 alone. My eldest has seen his mum on 2 days in 18 months.. anyway it’s been somewhat of a challenging time.
Trying to heal myself from the damage of the divorce, then dealing with children’s loss and continuing on in our new lives. It’s bloody hard and tiring work, I have a full time job which is stressful on its own along with managing a house too

So, I guess this is was a slight vent, but wanted to share the appreciation thatbits dads going through the challenge of raising kids, working and managing a house

Hey.. Welcome to Mumsnet! This board isn't massively busy though you get lots of support for the whole single parenting thing. Sounds like you and your kids have been through a lot and you're holding it together well. Are you all set for Xmas?

Yep all set for xmas, a lot more organised this year than last year, starting to feel festive and looking forward to some time off with the boys!

Welcome. The hardest part of been a ft parent is the juggling , managing the children with no one to share the good and the bad

Every reason to rant .

Had a look at Dadsnet too, I hope?

Sounds like you are doing a fantastic job of raising your children. You will reap the benefits in the long run as the children will remember the parent who invested the time in their relationship. Xx
