Im spending xmas at home alone with my 4 children. im sick of my sister referring to it as “spending christmas alone” why is it because i dont have a man around im seen as spending it alone even when i have 4 kids she keeps trying to get me to spend it with her and her friends but i dont want to, is that unreasonable ?

Nope. There will be 5 of you, 4 of whom are kids. Spend Christmas exactly how you want. Tell her thanks for the offer, but you're not discussing it any further and that's an end to it.

I dont get how its spending it “alone” she seems to think i want to spend it at her friends house when im more comfortable in my own home.
