Tax credits investigation letter

I have two kids and never lived with the father previously due to him being overly obsessed and possessive. Also on some occasions violent. We have had a on and off relationship. Recently he started to act erratic in August thinking everyone is out to kill him other then me and his kids. Obviously alarm bells start ringing and we called meantal hospital. He had been hearing whispers and seeing things we couldn’t and was diagnosed with Psychosis. At this stage I felt great amount of guilty thinking I never got him help and thinking it was just his behaviour so I offered him to move in with me end of August as he was edgy around his parents due to the illness. I had completely forgot to notify tax credits and I received a letter saying we believe so and so lives here and provide proof from April 2018 until July 2018 at this stage he didn’t live at my house which is on my name as well as all the bills his been on depression over a year now prior to these dates but he had registered his accounts and driving licence at my property which I didn’t see as a big deal but I had not realised he literally registered all his account here so I’m assuming that’s the reason they sent the letter with those dates. But he wasn’t living here then and I pay for everything as it is my house which I bought myself. My problem is they have stopped my payments while they investigate Iv sent everything they have asked for and advised moved in August due to illness but when I phoned it seemed as they doubted me and said his got accounts prior to those dates which she said we will not go into yet. Even though I’m telling the truth the evidence suggests otherwise. I even told them in July there’s was a violent incident reported to the police and he has to stay away for 28days and offered crime reference the lady said that could be for anything. I said u can check with police. I even advised her I have no reason to lie because if he was living we me I would actually get more money as he is on ESA and severely depressed obviously later diagnosed pyscosis. I want to know if anyone else has had this investigation and what the outcome was I work part time and rely on tax credits to make ends meet.

Why do you have him living with you if hes violent?? i can understand why they think your lying

He hasn’t been living with me previously, since August this year and his got Psycosis. I have no reason to lie because if you read my post fully I stated I would actually get more money in tax credits as he is on esa and has been over a year. What reason would I have to lie? I was enquiring how long the process takes Iv sent them all the relevant documents they have asked.

Also to add since he has lived with me his on medication that’s a anti psychotic and he no longer acts aggressive obviously his still feels low and depressed.
