Any single parents considering house shares?
Thinking it could be the answer to all my problems

That sort of arrangement works only as long as neither side tries to take advantage.
And there has to be an agreement of no men, because they are a perceived risk to the other person’s children, and that can scupper it.
I do know of one household that works though, two sisters, one with two daughters and one with her grandchild.

I'd like to do it. Did you see that article in the guardian about it?

I’m looking for a fellow single mum to house share in Shoreham, Sussex (near brighton)

We have to move as the landlord is selling. My days of owning are long gone after ex partners debt...

Hope to hear from you soon!! If anyone is interested

Yeah the guardian article was the first I'd heard of it
I just think it would be really nice alternative to an au pair/ baby sitter.
I'm lucky to be fine financially but its just finding childcare for a couple of hours hear and there , if I want to go the gym or the odd night out that's difficult. My parents already do a lot during the week
I don't even think you'd have to be great friends, just respectful and willing to maintain the symbiotic relationship
I'm in the north west , my son is 20 months
