Hey,
So my oldest who's 4, goes to Spanish lessons, after school. He's been going since last September and he really enjoys it. Also he's half Hispanic, so it's important to me that he knows his family history, culture and all the languages included etc.. Anyway I've been struggling with money the last couple of months, I'm a single mum of 2 and I just got a job, which I haven't started yet. I can't afford his Spanish lessons this term, and it kills me that I can't provide that much for him!
I don't want to tell his teacher that I can't afford it, and most definitely don't want to tell my son. I hate seeing disappointment in him.. it's tough enough being a single mum trying to make ends meet, but I've never allowed my kids to see that struggle, and still don't intend to.
How do I tactfully tell him he won't be going to Spanish for a while.. without lying entirely 🤥 ??
Thank you xx
