How often do you host entertainment for other people aka friends?

And what kind of hosting do you do? I feel as though my kids are left out and tend to blame it on the single parent thing? But i realise I dont invite so many people over here. Does anyone have the art of entertaining as a single parent sorted? It just makes me feel too tired and busy.

I tend to do Saturday afternoon tea. Other mums come with their dcs because they’ve been out all day and are gasping for a cuppa.
It’s easy, takes half an hour to sling together a couple of pizzas, some tomatoes and some cup cakes and fruit.
Ds eats with his friends then tears round the garden with them for an hour. I get an hour’s gossip, good for a gloomy autumn Saturday. Costs about £4
