I’m pregnant and the father is from LA and isn’t interested in having a child. Will he still have to pay towards childcare considering he’s in America? Should his name go on the birth certificate?

You don't have any rights YOU have responsibilities.

Does he want his name on the b.c, and is he happy to pay you some child maintenance.

Starlight345 · 19/08/2018 20:15

I would call cmo because although he obviously should not how enforceable it would be over seas.

As for birth certificate . He has to be there to be put in the birth certificate. If he doesn’t want to be involved then no need to complicate your lufe

My comments are assuming you are in England

Look up reciprocal enforcement maintenance orders on the child maintenance website.
