Ok so bear with me......

My son is about to go into his final year (GCSE) at school. He has his heart set on doing A levels then he wants to go to university. I'm a lone parent. Not on great wages (for a whole household) but don't receive tax credits.

Looking at the course he wants to do and it mentions costs etc. £9250 per year! As a single parent would qualify for any help? I have no idea on university as I never went. I'm very old (lol Smile) and sure friends my age got grants? Is that still the case? Literally any advice greatly received! I
Know it's two years off yet but do I need to worry at this stage?

Thanks x

Try not to worry, although there are no longer grants, your DS will be able to get a loan to cover tuition costs and, depending on your salary, also a maintenance loan to help with living costs.
