My 8 yr old daughter has not seen her dad for a year. Contact was stopped because of him drinking while he had her and he has mental health issues with lots of crimes committed, 33 to be exact, violence, drunk and disorderly etc. They have phone contact twice a week...court ordered. Cafcass were involved and they are waiting to see if he can remain stable, no drinking, on top of his mental health etc. We don't speak as he was verbally abusive and harrasment of me. Around Christmas he is allowed to appeal to the courts for a new court order and Cafcass will investigate if he has made the necessary changes. My daughter appears to have forgotten much of what she witnessed and is eager to see him again. I am worried that he has not changed at all. In court he denied EVERYTHING, said it was me that was abusive etc. Luckily the judges and Cafcass saw through his lies and said there was no questions to be addressed re my parenting. She's happy, doing well in school, has lots of friends and I am just so worried what might happen. Has anyone any experience or able to offer me some advice.
