Hotel in uk for single parent and 7 year old - where would you recommend ?

I’d like to take my 7 year old dd away for a few days in the summer hols. May even do a few days in one week then another . We live in London so not too far but should be near a beach . Looking for somewhere geared up for kids and with kids activities so I’ll not feel too isolated on my own with dd as there’ll be other adults around at least some of the time hopefully .
Any ideas ?

Highly recommend youth hostelling. They have private rooms and a community feel.

Have taken my 6 yr old several times and we have met some lovely people 😄
