My sister..

I don't think my sister likes my dd, she never picks her up or holds her which at first I just dismissed as maybe she isn't into babies (despite having her own child.) she doesn't interact with her at all. Yesterday she was here and said "he really looks like (exes name)" I said you mean SHE and she was like "oh yeh" and repeated saying she looked like my ex screwing her face up. Dd wasn't planned and ex basically said if I kept her he would have nothing to do with her which is what has happened, am I being paranoid or would you think the same?

Your sister doesn’t sound very nice saying things like that :( you’d think she would be more supportive.

To be honest my own mum can hardly remember me and my brothers name and constantly gets us mixed up. I wouldn’t take it personally. If it’s bugging you that much why not ask her?

Thanks for the replies. I would prefer it if I was just being paranoid Ofcourse but it was the way she screwed her face up when she said it, and that coupled up with the other things like never interacting with her, seems unusual to me to never pick a baby up or even acknowledge them in any way. She was here for 3 hours yesterday.

Yes it is strange :( I think you should talk to her and say how you feel. I would feel upset and annoyed if my sister was like that with my daughter and I would be asking her about it x

How often does your sister see your dd? Do you think she dislikes her or is just indifferent? Does your sister like you? Does she have kids?
