Wording of court order?

My court order is worded "... mother must not allow contact between .... father and children"

Is that how no contact orders are usually worded?

And also doesnt state the children reside with me so where does this leave me in terms of travelling abroad without his consent?

I would contact the court and ask them about the legality of going abroad.
If he has parental responsibility still then I would think technically you'd need his permission, but it would depend on the reasons for no contact. For example if he's seen as being a risk of turning up and hurting you or the children if he knows your whereabouts then I doubt they would expect you to inform him of flight times etc.
