Sick to death of being a single mum

Today I am sick of:
9 year olds constant mess
Having no one to lean on
Coping with the fact that EXH has just bought a house and had a holiday in Rome when 6 years ago he didn't even know how to pay a bill.
Rented flat. Nice, upstairs of old house. Needs constant fucking cleaning.
BF of 6 years shows
no sign of wanting to move us forward.
Having to watch every single penny. I know it's the same for everyone but today I am extra sick of it.
Seeing happy married couples.
Listening to people talk about weddings.

I'm Single with 9yo (who has a tummy upset just to help matters)
Bf wanted to move things along but only if I "got rid of DS" whatever that meant.Hmm

At which point I got a fit of the giggles at the complete absurdity of the suggestion. When it came to it, I'd far rather have coco pops, Ninjago and lego all over the floor than such a self-centred prat.

Single mum to a 3YO and a new baby on the way.

Dad to the kids out there having the time of his life whilst I worry about every penny, work my arse off, am extremely lonely and knackered.

But I just think, one day my kids will appreciate all this so much. (At least I hope so 🙄)

You're doing amazing OP, and you should be proud of yourself

I was a single mum from the very beginning with Dd1. It's hard, lonely, and knackering.Looking back it was also rewarding knowing I did it on my own without the arsehole that was her dad.

Just come on here to say the same thing OP.

oh I am absolutely feeling the same today. My life consists of work, childcare , housework and playdates. How I dream of someone to share stuff with and a cleaner and the ability to go out on an evening for drinks with a friend or even just to an aerobics class.

Maybe it's this time of year making us feel worse. Hope it helps a small bit to know you are not alone OP. Keep going! I like to think I appreciate the small things more for slogging so bloody hard all the time! I do sometimes wonder if friends who seem to lead golden lives actually really appreciate and enjoy it or just take it for granted.
