So background- ex abusive and controlling. Dd traumatised as was I, I had ptsd and have no contact with him. I am resident parent. Court ordered just phone updates re school. No coming there or near me etc.

Dd 's court ordered contact was reduced significantly as she was coming back dis regulated and distressed. ( age5)

She's been really struggling at school. We are both waiting for trauma therapy, in meantime school agreed to reduce her hours there .

Ex has got wind of this and has sent a bullying solicitors letter saying he did not give consent for her to be 'homeschooled' and he wants all reports and therapists to be made available to him.

But he is the source of our trauma.

He has pr.

He surely can't be privy to the support I am seeking to heal us from his abuse?

I think he is entitled to reports etc, unless they think it will cause further harm to dd.. you really need to seek proper advice. though solicitors letters are not leagally binding.

she is not home schooled as she is still registered with a school.

try posting on legal for advice, collaborate, prh47bridge and MRs bertbibby are all experts in family/school stuff.

I don't think he has a leg to stand on! He could apply for a prohibitive steps order but I doubt it would be granted this was a decision led by the school! A solicitors letter is just that don't let it intimidate you. Also when I was going through this and that I asked my sol not to forward any correspondence for a couple of months - nothing he can do about that
