I would say try lots of things.

I am a childminder and they all come with different ways of getting to sleep.

Some its lights on ceiling, white noise, would he sleep if he lay on your bed with you, put him in the buggy go for a walk. My Ds liked to be BF to sleep at that age,but also liked his cheek stroked.

I would also say there is a cry that is I am tired that the worst thing you can do is pick them up. Its I'm tired not I am distressed. At 4 or 7 months should be on 2 naps a day.

Thank you for the advice I bought him a like a wee night light that changes colours and he seems to enjoy like watching the lights and usually falls asleep
Iv got into a bit of a bad habit of letting him sleep in my bed with me
But every time I put him in his cot he wake up every hour or so and I’m just that tired I give up and carry him into my bed x

You sound like you are doing really well OP I’d try anything, I never managed to crack the decent sleep thing as I’m too soft and picked mine up a lot. I would maybe speak to a health visitor about getting a good daytime routine established, they are really helpful and often spot what we can’t see. Keep going well done x
